I’ll be honest and say I didn’t get the end where JM tells KiTae to go be with SA even though he doesn’t love her. She seemed to be going down a path of noble idiocy and I did not like it but then the real ending happened and I was somewhat appeased. Let’s get these kids together, make up with the parents and wrap things up nicely. No more misunderstandings are necessary. Their scenes with their parents were so heart wrenching though, especially Jang-mi’s with her parents. It makes their separation all the more sad when their families fall apart as a result.

My take is that KT is falling for how honest, sincere and selfless she can be…and really that’s not nothing considering the mother, father, and ex-fiance that he has and the impact that they’ve had on him. Add to that attraction and just generally enjoying her company, it’s easy to see why he might fall for her. I keep having flashbacks to Killer Girl K with Jang mi.

Maybe I’m asking for too much I guess a sneaky clingy spoiled selfish ex as usual for a second lead isn’t too bad either. The only people that haven’t dug much into their background is gi tae and sa ha so I wouldn’t be surprised if more layers were peel in the upcoming episodes.. Se ha and gi tae might have more in common in terms of background but to much similarity jus doesn’t work.. Yeah, I dont know why but that last clip of her at the end of the preview hints that smth is gonna go down with Se Ah. Maybe I’m taking this show way too seriously, but I’m curious as to what Se-ah’s true motivation is.

After finishing the 2 episodes, this is giving me a “World of Married” vibe. The 3 couples are definitely interesting as far as their story goes. The editing definitely needs to get better because some scenes felt disjointed and the introduction to whom I assume are the mistresses didn’t flow well. The wife that hates her mother didn’t bother me but I did FF their last scene together.

And I don’t think she deserves to be cheated on just because she is still angry that her mother tried rip her father from her life. Parent alienation is real and people need to stop using their children as pawns or they can end up being damaged adults. That’s long but if the story is good then I’m in. Thanks for the introduction to the drama. I hope the writer keeps true to her style and she does what she has to do.

It’s nice to know that even in a story about the cool contemporary dating rules of the young and unattached, there’s enough genuine affection and love that creeps up on them despite it all. Fishing is all fun and games until you’re hooked, good ‘n’ proper. They better make it up to us in the next episodes! That kiss at the ending was a bit out of the blue. And that’s a whole other hurdle that Ki-tae and Jang-mi are going to have to address – that their parents no longer trust them as good partners. While we the viewers know that nobody was coerced into the engagement farce, I can see how the parents might not see it that way.

Fantastic writing and directing too. And this drama, I think is the current best romantic comedy drama. I’m on episode 5 and laughed out loud at every single one. Yeo-reum asks Jang-mi to dinner and when she asks when, he says, “Now.” Se-ah comes up to Ki-tae and does the same, and inside, Hyun-hee asks Hoon-dong the same thing. The question of “now” versus “sometime” lingers in the air for all three couples. She limps over to Ki-tae wearing only one shoe, and says she wants to call the whole thing off.

I cried with JangMi when she was talking to her dad about the reason why she let the show go on for longer than she should have… Yeo reum trying to quit Hoon Dong to the tune of 2 AM’s “Can’t Let You Go Even If I Die”. That was a hilarious musical choice that basically made the episode for me. All the imaginary scenes were so cute..especially the bathroom scene..I wish they hurry up and get together so we can see some home living hijinks from the both of them. Before she can announce her decision, Dad comes running in to excitedly tell them he’s been promoted to university president. I love how all three of the women’s faces are like, So what, jerkface. When he asks for congratulations, Mom says he ought to congratulate her, so he starts in with the lip service of how he owes it all to her.

Se-ah grabs Ki-tae for a kiss, and Jang-mi averts her eyes, wondering to herself why she feels this way. Now that the cat’s out of the bag, Yeo-reum happily sidles up to Jang-mi openly. He takes her away for some alone time, and Ki-tae watches them go with a long face. Out by the lighthouse, Yeo-reum suggests that they spend the rest of the trip on their own. As soon as he says it though, Ki-tae’s voice rings out, calling out for Jang-mi.

And even here, when he finally rejects her, he can’t even bear to say anything. He just shakes his head and leaves but he squeezes her shoulder to let her know that he isn’t rejecting her completely. He still wants to be considerate of her even when she’s done something this inconceivable.
